![]() When I was around twelve years old I became involved in church music ministry, and soon began writing and recording some of my own songs with the help of my older brothers.
After high school and a brief stint in college, I joined the United States Marine Corps, where I served in the infantry for four years. After a four year enlistment, I felt a renewed sense of calling to pursue music ministry. In 2012, I met my soon to be wife Jennifer, and together we moved to Chicago, Illinois. There, I studied voice and composition at Saint Xavier University. Upon graduation, I took the position of Director of Worship at Redemption Church on the south side of Chicago. Jennifer and I have been blessed with six beautiful children for whom we are very grateful. In 2019, I released my first EP entitled There Is a Friend, a short album for children and families. Later that same year, I released a second EP of original Christmas worship songs entitled Light of Life. In 2020, we launched the Songs for Worship project, an initiative that focuses on promoting singable, Christ-centered worship music for the church. We are also passionate about encouraging and equipping young families to prioritize daily worship in the home. Most recently, I have been working with my dad Jim Rose on developing material to teach the ten commandments in a way that is especially accessible to families. The project, called "All My Heart, Mind, and Strength", and includes a catechism of 12 questions and answers with ten corresponding songs. The project is expected to be released to the public in April of 2022. |
